PDF files are very commonly used since they are lightweight and easily transferable through e-mail and other communication media. Also, they don't need special software to be opened. Nevertheless, they are designed to be read only, since they cannot be edited easily.
This program aims to solve this drawback. Besides extracting text from scanned files, it has editing capabilities too, allowing you to add text, images, links, watermarks and more. Also, you can crop or cut the text, add footers and headers, notes, and comments. You can combine several small files into a larger one, too.
The program has an attractive interface that makes all these tasks easier. It has large icons and a MS Office-style ribbons, so if you are already familiar with Office, then you will find this program very easy to use.
The installation wizard is lightweight. Nevertheless, it does not include the OCR function. If you need it, you will need to download and install it, which can take a while, since it is a massive file. This is one of the drawbacks I found. Another is the cost of the program, which is rather high. Nevertheless, if you work with lots of PDF files, then it may be a good investment.
You can try the program before buying. The shareware version has several limitations. For example, it adds a watermark to the output files, and it does not convert more than a half, or a maximum of 5 pages, of the input file, among other things. If you like the program and want to get rid of these limitations, then you will need to purchase a license.
